On April 28, the Premier of Algeria Abdelmalek Sellal invited by the Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, paid an official visit to China for the first time, and had a meeting with Chinese Political Consultative Conference Yu Zhengsheng at the Great Hall of the People. The boss of LIFAN’s distributor in Algeria Fomoval Company, as the representative of Algerian enterprises, following the Algerian government delegation, attended in the meeting. The Premier’s visit to China facilitates the cooperation in different fields, including that Lifan Motors has signed the agreement of intent for setting up factory with Algerian auto company Famoval.

China is the largest trade partner of Algeria. Solidifying and intensifying the comprehensive strategic partnership has become the common sense by both countries. For further strengthening the auto industry cooperation of both countries, Algeria has formulated a series of policies and regulations; set down auto permit administration and investment attraction policies, having facilitated Lifan Motors to set up factory in Algeria through cooperating with the old partner Famoval Company. LIFAN will provide materials, introduce advanced technology and send excellent staff to transform Famoval’s truck subsidiary to SKD factory, mainly engaging in minivan production. The operation scale is almost the same with LIFAN KD plant in Ethiopia.

For prospering Chinese auto brand, Lifan Motors will enlarge the investment in Algeria through the deep cooperation with Famoval Company to drive the economic prosperity and realize the localized production, aiming to enlarge the brand effect of Lifan Motors in North African market.
