On July 8th, 2015, the 6th Russia International Technology Innovation Exhibition was held in Yekaterinburg Convention Center. As one of the representatives of the automotive industry, Lifan attended the exhibition with its flagship New Energy vehicle: Lifan 820EV, Battery Pack assembly, EV motor, Virtual Instrument, some other technology innovation products and the sand table of Lifan Motors Lipetsk factory project. At the exhibition, Vice-premier Wang Yang visited Lifan Motors booth, and showed his ardent expectation to Lifan Motors’ development in Russia. The Russia Ministry of Industry and Trade Minister Manturov accompanied Vice-premier Wang Yang on the visit.

At the booth of Lifan Motors, the new energy vehicle and its technology stand out conspicuously. Vice-premier Wang Yang was deeply attracted by Lifan 820EV and the 6AT transmission which based on Lifan independent R&D. Meanwhile, he conducted in-depth communication and exchange with Lifan Group chief engineer and chief scientist Mr. Chen Wei. Chief engineer Mr. Chen Wei also especially present the 300 million worth Lifan Motors factory in Lipetsk state of Russia to Vice-premier Wang Yang; and Vice-premier Wang Yang spoke highly of this project and showed his strong support. He also felicitated Lifan about the official construction of the factory. It is reported that there will be a comer stone layer ceremony of the factory project on July 16, and Mr. Chen Wei delivered personally an Invitation Letter to Vice-premier Wang Yang.

It is learned that, Lifan Motors’ Chief Engineer and Chief Scientist Mr. Chen Wei, as one of four special guests, attended and spoke on the forum of ‘Facing the world, Pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia’ which was held on July 8. On the forum, Mr. Chen Wei pointed out that Lifan has gained the best-seller of Chinese auto brand in Russia for four years in a row, which indicates that Lifan Motors has won Russian consumers’ affirmation and favor. Therefore, to build an all new car factory is a very important step for Lifan to seek a long-term development in Russia and progressively realize localization and then radiate to surrounding CIS markets. Mr. Chen Wei also showed that, to comply with industrial development, the New Energy vehicle will be a long-term goal for Lifan; and as a Chinese company, Lifan has a huge potential with Russian companies on the EV battery production and other relative industries.

The Russia International Technology Innovation Exhibition was established in 2010, once a year; it’s the largest and the most influential national grade comprehensive exhibition among Russia and CIS countries. This year’s subject is ‘Industrial Efficiency’, and China is the Country of Honor, more than 133 Chinese companies, including CRH, Aerospace, Aviation, Shipping, Electric Power, Automotive, Electronics, Mechanical, Nuclear and Satellite Navigation, more than 10 industries have invited to the exhibition, which greatly deepened the relationship of Business Cooperation between China and Russia.
